“Glo doesn’t feel overwhelming…just support when I need it. And honestly that has helped ease a lot of the stress and the overthinking for me.”

[00:00] I fairly recently started a GLP-1 medication.

[00:03] And there has not been a moment where I did not feel at least a little bit nervous about how my brain and body would respond.

[00:11] And I have ADHD and anxiety, and sometimes if I get a text message while I am feeling overstimulated, I will completely shut down.

[00:21] Even if it is someone I genuinely want to communicate with, it could take me five to seven business days to reply to them.

[00:28] And I am not proud of that.

[00:30] But today was different, because I was feeling very overwhelmed.

[00:33] I got a text from Glo, and for the first time in forever, I actually felt relieved to open that text message.

[00:39] I replied almost instantly, because it felt safe, and low pressure, and non-judgmental.

[00:45] Navigating a new medication can feel overwhelming.

[00:49] But Glo has actually become this really supportive space for me.

[00:54] Like part coach, part late-night, can-I-ask-a-random-GLP-1-question-at-1:00-AM type of energy.

[01:03] Glo does not feel overwhelming or invasive or information overload.

[01:07] Just support when I need it.

[01:09] And honestly, that has helped ease a lot of the stress and the overthinking for me.

When the GLP-1 Journey Feels Like Too Much

Most people who start a GLP-1 come to it tired. Tired of trying things that didn't work. Tired of weight cycling. Tired of carrying it alone. The last thing they need is another tracker that makes them feel watched, another app that pings them nonstop, another service that flips weight loss into a job. A GLP-1 "companion" that obsesses over just numbers and not overall health. But that's what most "support" looks like.

Glo is different. Quieter. She's there when you text her. She's not there when you don't. She doesn't push, ping, or pressure. She doesn't reduce you to a number on a graph. She just helps when you need help.

Why Some GLP-1 Apps Make Things Worse

A lot of GLP-1 support apps are built around behavior tracking - logs, streaks, metrics, push notifications, weight goals. For some people that works. For many, it doesn't. Reasons:

  • Streaks create anxiety. Missing a day feels like failing. Failure makes people quit entirely.

  • Constant logging creates surveillance fatigue. Everything becomes data, including your body.

  • Notifications interrupt. They go off during meetings, during dinners, during moments you wanted to be present.

  • Metrics flatten the experience.A bad day doesn't reduce to a row in a spreadsheet.

Glo is designed to be invisible until you need her. She doesn't send push notifications. She doesn't track streaks. She doesn't ping you to log. She's a contact in your phone. You text her, or you don't. Either way, no consequence.

Calm Support

People going through GLP-1 journeys don't usually need a hype squad. They need someone who'll listen without performance. Glo doesn't say "you have to do it", "why did you miss your goal". She acknowledges what's happening, helps with what she can, and stays out of the way when she should.

If you had a hard day, she lets you have a hard day. She doesn't try to flip it into a learning opportunity or a motivation moment. She supports. She helps in the ways you need.

GLP-1 Medications Glo Supports

Glo works with the full range of GLP-1 and GLP-1-adjacent prescriptions: Wegovy, Wegovy Pill, Foundayo, Zepbound, Ozempic, Mounjaro, Rybelsus (R1 and R2), Trulicity, Saxenda, Victoza, Bydureon BCise, Byetta, Adlyxin, Soliqua 100/33, and Xultophy 100/3.6. Her guidance adjusts based on your specific medication.

What Glo Helps With on Overwhelming Days

There are days on a GLP-1 when small decisions feel disproportionate. What to eat. Whether to walk. Whether to skip dinner because you're not hungry. Whether to push or rest. Glo helps with these moments specifically:

  • Decision fatigue around food. You ask, "what should I eat right now?" - she responds with options based on your appetite, side effects, and goals. You don't have to figure it out from scratch.

  • Symptom management. You text what's happening; she responds with what's known to help. No need to search.

  • Energy questions."Should I exercise today?" - she helps you think it through given how you've been feeling.

  • Emotional moments. You vent; she listens. No pivot to advice unless you ask for it.

  • Sleep, hydration, basics. When everything feels hard, she helps you focus on what matters in the moment.

How Glo Stays Calm

1. She's quiet by default.Glo doesn't push notifications to nag you. She sends one scheduled check-in per day if you want it (configurable), plus your dose reminders. That's it. Otherwise, she's there when you text her.

2. She doesn't keep score. No streaks, no scoreboards, no public progress bars to feel guilty about. The dashboard exists if you want to see it. It doesn't push you.

3. She speaks in your voice. You text however you want. Brief or long. Vague or specific. Glo doesn't require you to phrase things "correctly" or fill out fields.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will Glo send me notifications all day?

No. Glo sends one daily check-in (you can turn it off or change it to weekly), plus your dose reminder. And any other reminder you ask her to schedule. You can ask her to remind you about another medication or an upcoming doctor's appointment or to drink water before lunch every day. That's it.

What if I go quiet for a week?

Nothing happens. Glo isn't going to scold you for not texting. When you come back, you can pick up wherever you want.

Is Glo a therapist?

No. Glo can listen and help you think through situations, but she's not a licensed mental health professional. If you're experiencing depression, anxiety, or other clinical mental health symptoms, please reach out to a qualified provider.

Is Glo a replacement for my doctor?

No. Glo is not a medical device. Medical questions, prescription decisions, and concerning symptoms belong with your clinician.

How much does Glo cost?

Glo is $12.99/month or $99/year. Free for the first 10 days. Cancel anytime. Subscription covers unlimited texting, your weekly progression plan, the myGlo dashboard, and the Glo Kit.
